NOAA report on California drought stirs controversy among climate change experts
A new report issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) asserts that California's recent drought
is the result of natural variations and not due to global warming. The
results were summarized by the report's lead authors at a special news conference
held today and almost immediately generated a firestorm of criticism
among some of the world's climate experts, including notables such as Michael Mann and Joe Romm.
